Central California Writing Project Hybrid Invitational Summer Institute:

Relevant, Engaging, Meaningful Writing and Reading Experiences

 

Institute Dates: June 16 – June 26

Time: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Format: Hybrid (6 Virtual Days and 3 In-Person Days)

 

Registration is now open for the 2025 Central California Writing Project Invitational Summer Institute.

During this hybrid institute, from June 16th to June 26th, educators will engage in reading, writing, and discussions centered on topics such as Identities, Environmental Literacy and Justice, Media Literacy, and Social Justice. Workshops will focus on how these topics and mentor texts can inform the teaching of analytical reading, argumentative and narrative writing.  Participants will  develop and share a teaching sequence using shared resources.

Teachers and educators of all subjects and grade levels who are reflective, collaborative, and eager to share their expertise while learning from others are encouraged to apply. Accepted applicants will receive a $1,000 fellowship, and CEUs will be available. A virtual orientation will be held on June 7th (morning session) to prepare participants for the institute.
