A Presentation by Award Winning Author Aida Salazar

CCWP is proud to announce its collaboration with LIFT and PVUSD Starlight School in welcoming award winning author, Aida Salazar, who will present at Starlight School May 18th, 2023, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Salazar, who has written acclaimed verse novels, The Moon Within, Land of the Cranes, and A Seed in the Sun, will speak on the role of historical fiction, women, activism, and movements for positive social change in literature for young people. Her repertoire of children’s literature centers BIPOC experiences and provides adults and children opportunities to explore issues of identity and social justice.
