The Central California Writing Project supports the development of anti-racist and culturally sustaining pedagogies with a focus on writing instruction. We need your help to provide professional learning for pre-K–University educators in Santa Cruz, San Benito, and Monterey Counties, and to support youth in our writing workshops.

We provide workshops and institutes that are focused on:

• Equity, Engagement, and Agency;
• Engaging, meaningful, purposeful writing instruction and assessment for K-16 teachers in all disciplines, using evidence-based, standards-based, sustainable literacy strategies;
• Inquiry-based, collaborative, and reflective learning communities of practice that determine their own assets and needs; and
• Support for all students, especially English Learners.
